Comment	This is a homolog of Arabidopsis gene GIGANTEA (GI) At1g22770. Similar to the Arabidopsis gene, its expression is circadian clock-controlled. Unlike the Arabidopsis GI, the rice Gi acts as a suppressor of flowering under log-day photoperiodic conditions.
