Current Release OMAP Short Arm

Assembly

Browse Oryza glaberrima A minimum tile of BAC clones, from the short arm of chr 3, were selected from the Heavily Manually Edited (HME) physical map of O. glabberima. BAC clones were sequenced, by subcloning into shotgun vector and using Sanger methods, to 8x coverage and phase II finishing. Assembly of the tile sequence was done manually.

Annotation

  • The location and structure of protein coding genes have been predicted using the Gramene evidence-based gene prediction pipleine. Genes have been further annotated with functional domains and GO annotations.
  • Various plant nucleotide sequences have been mapped to the genome, the mapped features can be viewed in contigview
  • Putative orthologs/paralogs between the predicted genes and those in several other eukaryotic specues have been estimated.
