Comment Related to flowering, heading date and maturity in rice. The allele from "Kasalath" delays the heading date under natural and long-day conditions but not under short-day conditions. A single base substitution introduces a premature termination codon (TAG) at residue position 91 in protein sequence from Nipponbare allele (this protein), compared to a lysine codon (AAG) in Kasalath (Q9AR27).
