Description The gene encodes for a membrane localized zinc ion (Zn2+) transporter. The mRNA
expression was detected in vascular bundles of the leaf. It was also expressed
in higher amounts in root compared to shoot when plants were grown under Zn
deficient conditions. Its expression was not detected in plants grown in normal
conditions containing Zn.
