Description One spikelet weight was determined as the mean value of ten superior spikelets
(well-filled) present on a panicle present of the primary culm (main stem). For
the assay, panicle from the primary culm was harvested 50 days after flowering
and dried in a well-ventilated room for 2 weeks. Single marker regressions were
used to detect the association between markers and each trait using qGENE
software. Significant differences (P<0.05) in marker class means were
interpreted as likely linkage of each trait to the marker locus.
