Gene locus:In the middle part of long arm of chromosome 11
Remark:One of QTLs controlling field resistance against rice panicle
blast in rice stripe resistant rice cultivars was mapped closely to RFLP marker S723, CD0226 and C189 of chromosome 11. Pbl gene links to a rice stripe resistance gene Sivb-i with a recombination value of 5.2 - 1.5%. Pb) expresses its resistance especially to panicle blast.
