Comment
Rice ATX1 gene bears homology to the Arabidopsis and yeast ATX1 genes. The orthologs from Arabidopsis (AT1G66240) and yeast (YNL259C) are known to play a role in copper homeostasis and oxygen radical metabolism or tolerance to oxidative stress. The yeast ATX1 is part of the pathway associated with iron uptake at the cell surface. (Imported from Gene GR:0101323)
