Description 'Hosetsuwaisei' dwarf (d18-h) mutation confers miniature size (about 15 cm tall)
with short, thick, stiff leaves, nearly normal grains. 'Kotaketamanishiki' dwarf
has (d18-k) allele and semidwarf phenotype with short culm and panicle. Multiple
alleles; + > d18-k > d18-h. Responsive to gibberellin (0.01, 0.1 ppm GA3) with
moderate to substantial elongation of leaf sheaths and internodes.
