Description Induction by heat shock is developmentally constitutive. In vitro translation
product immunoreacts with maize-HSP18 antibodies; deduced isoelectric point
agrees with that for authentic HSP18-6 protein; gene specific probe(Maillet
1995). In root tips, restricted to cytoplasm, highest near meristem (in situ
hybridization, Greyson et al 1994 MNL 68:55-56); induction in late prophase.
