Description Short, erect dwarf; no response to gibberellins. In the mature stage is
intermediate between a dwarf and a semi-dwarf; characterized by the shortening
of the internodes throughout the culm except the last one bearing the tassel.
The number of internodes is normal; last internode is longer. Leaves thick and
stiff, often twisted. Tassel normal, ears usually slender and long. No anthers
in ears. Viability is poor. (Li 1933). Genetic 2005 3 coordinates determined
from these recombination and map data: ba1 -11- na1; na1 TB-3Ll; TB-3Lc na1; rg1
-9- ts4 -36- na1 -23- a1; see MaizeGDB ID:935355; 935596; 108119; 935351. This
