Description Like gl1, but seedling leaf surface bright green instead of bluish. Cuticle wax
much reduced; seedling leaf surface bright green instead of having the bluish
"bloom" of normal plants. Under electron microscope, surface wax has reduced
number of star-type particles. Mutant seedlings somewhat dwarf. Genetic 2005 3
coordinates determined from these recombination and map data: "umc92a -7-
(umc10a, umc102) -.7- gl6 -1- bnl6.06a; see MaizeGDB ID:105993.". This gene was
originally curated in MaizeGDB Database and the map position was displayed on
the maize bins map if feasible.
