Description Dominant Ch1 ears have tan to dark brown pericarp and cob. Pigmentation obscured
by red pigments produced by P1-rr, r1-ch, or Pl1. Ch1, P1-vv shows red stripes
on a brown background. Genetic 2005 2 coordinates determined from these
recombination and map data: v4 -24- w3 -4- ht1 -34- ch1; w3 -13- ht1 -30- ch1;
whp1 -15- ch1; see MaizeGDB ID:141313; 141317; 452193. This gene was originally
