Description White or yellow stripes on leaves (compare ij1); conditions chloroplast
modifications that are maternally inherited. White or yellow stripes that may be
wide, clonal, and extensive through the plant (compare ij1). Heritability of
expression is strain-dependent, and crosses as male or female to unrelated
strains show unpredictable inheritance. May be an expression of Isr1 and
striping factors (e.g. ij2). Genetic 2005 10 coordinates determined from these
recombination and map data: (cm1 -(5)- r1); see MaizeGDB ID:935462. This gene
