Description One of two very similar cDNAs recovered by antiserum screen from B73 seedling
leaf RNA, both transcribed in leaf tissue. Sequence no more than 40% similar to
the mitochondrially localized Rieske Fe/S protein (Huang et al., 1991), encoded
by isp1. Genetic 2005 5 coordinates determined from these recombination and map
data: csu862a -3- ris1 -1- csu302; see MaizeGDB ID:934704. This gene was
originally curated in MaizeGDB Database and the map position was displayed on
the maize bins map if feasible.
