Description Endosperm sugary-shrunken, glassy, smoother than su1; duplicate factor with su4.
Shrunken. Increase in amylose content to 40%, but does not have the unique
interaction with wx1 that ae1 does. Mutant is not uncovered by TB-4Sa or TB-4Lf,
but shows linkage with wx T4-9g. (P. Stinard). Genetic 2005 4 coordinates
determined from these recombination and map data: (su3 -6- T4-9g -2- wx1); see
MaizeGDB ID:935695. This gene was originally curated in MaizeGDB Database and
the map position was displayed on the maize bins map if feasible.
