Description Dominant Tu1 ears develop long glumes enclosing individual kernels; tassels
develop large, coarse glumes and sex reversal; both inflorescences become
grossly vegetative and sterile in homozygotes. For interactions with other
mutants, and developmental model, see Langdale et al. (1994). Produces no pollen
in tassel and rarely produces seeds in the ear. Genetic 2005 4 coordinates
