Description Mobilities of the mitochondrial isozymes encoded by Mdh1, Mdh2 and Mdh3 are
slightly increased in mmm1 homozygotes. mmm1 is rare; it has been found in Black
Mexican Sweet Corn (Newton and Schwartz, 1980), a few inbred lines and in
several Latin American collections (Goodman et al., 1980). Genetic 2005 1
coordinates determined from these recombination and map data: mmm1 TB-1La-
5S8041; mdh4 -8- mmm1 -24- pgm1 -2- phi1 [but teosinte introgression]; mmm1 TB-1La-
3L5267; mdh4 -4- mmm1 -19- pgm1 -6- adh1 -4- phi1; see MaizeGDB ID:104720;
78070; 104719; 61338. This gene was originally curated in MaizeGDB Database and
