Description Defective crown; lethal; cultured embryos not obtained. Defective crown,
irregularly wrinkled, crumpled and/or dented, opaque, nonviable kernel.
Endosperm of floury starch with an uneven layer of corneous starch; degenerate
embryo with defective shoot apical meristem is blocked at Abbe and Stein (1954)
coleoptilar stage. Cultured embryos produce only scutellar callus. Genetic 2005
