GRAMENE GENEGR:0200232
Type Gene
Species Zea mays subsp. mays (Maize) [ GR_tax:014546 ]
Germplasm
Description Viable yellow green virescent seedling. Uncovered by TB-6Sa (Beckett and Leto
1978; Leto and Miles 1977, 1979; Leto 1982; Miles et al. 1985); between T4-
6(5227) and proximal end of distal chromomere marked by T3-6b (Phillips and
Thompson 1980). Yellow green leaves, fluorescence induction kinetics class IX;
undefined deficiency in electron transport (Miles 1980, 1982). Expression
(including fluorescence) in seedlings less definitive in some backgrounds,
best when very young. Classification: excellent as hcf trait or as yellow-
green seedling. (Polacco). Affects electron transport; yellow-green, viable
seedling. Genetic 2005 6 coordinates determined from these recombination and
map data: hcf26 TB-6Sa; see MaizeGDB ID:104679. This gene was originally
curated in MaizeGDB Database and the map position was displayed on the maize
bins map if feasible.
