Description Collapsed opaque endosperm; lethal; cultured embryos green. Small, sometimes
collapsed, opaque, nonviable kernel. Endosperm floury except for small amounts
of corneous starch located on the abgerminal side of the kernel. Embryo
withered, or with abnormal parts not fully developed; variably lethal. Cultured
immature embryos germinate but produce only a few roots and green coleoptiles
and no leaves. Genetic 2005 6 coordinates determined from these recombination
and map data: TB-6Lc(6) dek19; see MaizeGDB ID:105599. This gene was originally
