Description mRNA expressed primarily in root tips and pollen; member of tandem repeat (see
tua2); gene specific cDNA probe. BNL17.04-TUB(pUC9alpha-1). Promoter is root-tip
and pollen specific in tobacco (Rigau 1993); in germinating maize pollen, mRNA
accumulates both in cell and tube, with preferential accumulation in the tube
tip (Torres 1995). This gene was originally curated in MaizeGDB Database and the
map position was displayed on the maize bins map if feasible.
