Plants are fascinating creatures!
Fascination of Plants Day will be celebrated around the world on May 18 of 2015.
This celebration was established in 2012 by the European Plant Science Organization (EPSO). The goal is involve passionate plant experts to cultivate the public's fascination for the many ways plants sustain the environment and provide an astonishing array of food, medicine, fuels, feedstock, and fibers essential to daily life. To share their passion for plants and plant science, Gramene researchers have volunteered to organize the following events:
On May 19 of 2015, Dr. Marcela Karey Tello-Ruiz, project manager for Gramene, will present an interactive demonstration for kindergartners at Bayville Elementary School in Bayville, NY on the subject of "Plants in our every day lives".
On May 19 of 2015, Dr. Joshua Stein, will present a free online webinar on available resources for rice researchers in the Gramene and Ensembl Plants databases. Get the full scoop and register HERE!
