Description

Normal grain shape, floury white endosperm like waxy mutants. Grains strongly stain blue-black with I2-KI solution like nonwaxy rice. With SEM, round, loosely packed compound starch granules are similar to that of crumbly rice. Weak bonds among compound starch granules results in their easy release from endosperm cell.
