Description Shoot and root are formed at positions more apical than those of wild type. Shoot is at apex, and radicle is in the center. Late embryonic regionalization abnormal, apical region (scutellum, coleoptile) underdeveloped, basal region enlarged with reduced shoot at apex. In about 70% of embryos, two radicles were produced in middle and basal regions. Germination reduced about 50%, several narrow, white leaves first produced, followed by narrow, green leaves. Mature plants slender, dwarfed. Panicle small (10-20 flowers). Seed fertility low.
