Current Release: TIGR5

This release is based on MSU/TIGR pseudomolecule assembly release 5 of IRGSP finished sequence, released January 2007.

Additional annotations generated by the Gramene project include:

• Mapping to the genome of multiple sequence-based feature sets.
• Mapping to the genome of all variation records for O. sativa from dbSNP, and further records generated by the OMAP project, using Ensembl's variation pipeline.
• Generation of phylogenetic trees, and orthologue/paralogue designations between Japonica rice, and several plant and metazoan species, using Ensembl's compara pipeline.
• Syntenic regions between the maize FPC map and the rice genome assembly were estimated, and loaded into Ensembl.
• Whole genome alignments between Sorghum and Japonica rice, Arabidospis and Japonica rice were generated by Ensembl's blastz-chain-net pipeline
